Večina pacientov z AS je nosilcev HLA B27.

Title:Physiotherapy treatment of patients with ankylosing spondylitis
Abstract:Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects the spine and sacroiliac joints, but it can also involve peripheral joints and typically appears before the age of thirty. The disease results from interactions between genetic and environmental factors. The majority of AS patients carry the HLA-B27 gene. Symptoms include lower back pain, possible chest pain, painful joints in the limbs, as well as lung and heart issues. Diagnosis is made through X-ray imaging, and treatment includes both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches. The purpose of this thesis is to review the literature on the effectiveness of physiotherapeutic management for patients with AS. The results indicate that physiotherapeutic treatment is effective in managing patients with AS.
