S pomočjo ključnih besed smo našli 117 raziskav, izmed teh smo jih 106 grobo pregledali in jih 99 izločili na podlagi vključitvenih kriterijev in vsebinske neustreznosti. Temeljito smo pregledali 7 raziskav in izmed teh še 2 izločili glede na izključitvene dejavnike. V diplomsko delo smo vključili 5 raziskav, njihove rezultate smo pregledali, primerjali in analizirali.

Abstract:Introduction: The Fascial distortion model was introduced between 1992 and 1995 by the American physician Stephen P. Typaldos as a new medical concept. FDM is a practical, fast and effective technique for treating injuries such as fractures, sprained ankles and frozen shoulder. The model is becoming increasingly popular among physiotherapists for the treatment of orthopaedic and trauma patients. Aim of the study: The purpose of the diploma thesis is to investigate the effects of the fascial distortion model, to determine whether the effects have a positive impact on the treatment of problems related to musculoskeletal pathologies, and to compare the FDM concept with other physiotherapeutic methods. Methods: In the thesis, we used a qualitative research approach. We made a review of the literature, which we searched in the PubMed, PEDro and Research Gate databases. With the help of keyword, we found 117 studies, of which we roughly examined 106 and excluded 99 based on the inclusion criteria and content inadequacy. We thoroughly reviewed 7 studies and eliminated 2 of them based on exclusion factors. We included 5 researches in the diploma, their results were examined, compared and analysed. Results: A review of the results showed that FDM reduces pain, increases joint mobility and improves function in various musculoskeletal pathologies. Comparison with other physiotherapy methods showed mostly the same effectiveness, but FDM offers faster results. Discussion and conclusion: FDM is a promising method of treating musculoskeletal pathologies. Additional research with high-quality clinical studies is needed to further develop the concept.
