S pomočjo spletnih podatkovnih baz PEDro, PubMed, Google Scholar in ScienceDirect so bile na podlagi vključitvenih in izključitvenih kriterijev izbrane ustrezne znanstvene in strokovne študije. Intervencije v raziskavah so vključevale terapijo z udarnimi valovi, suhim iglanjem, kineziološke trakove, raztezanje, terapevtski ultrazvok, lasersko terapijo, mobilizacijo sklepov in uporabo ortopedskih pripomočkov.

Abstract:Introduction: Conservative treatment of plantar fasciopathy is challenging as all patients with plantar fasciitis experience pain, which is strongly associated with reduced functionality. The aim of the thesis was to compare and determine which physiotherapeutic methods and techniques are most effective in reducing pain and increasing functionality in patients with plantar fasciitis, based on the literature. Methodology: The thesis uses a qualitative research approach. Using the databases PEDro, PubMed, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect, relevant scientific and research studies were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: A search of online databases initially returned 279 hits. After removing duplicates and paid articles, the number dropped to 134. In the end, after taking into account the inclusion and exclusion criteria and after a thorough review, 11 articles were included in the study. Discussion: The literature review in the thesis showed that a tailored and multidisciplinary approach is needed in the treatment of plantar fasciitis. Interventions in the research included shock wave therapy, dry needling, kinesiology tapes, stretching, therapeutic ultrasound, laser therapy, joint mobilization, and the use of orthopedic tools. Combined therapies have proven to be more effective. Approaches involving fascia and calf muscle stretching and a combination of different conservative therapies were particularly effective. Conclusion: The most effective treatment for plantar fasciitis is a patient-centered and multidisciplinary approach, combining a variety of physiotherapy methods and techniques.
