Vadba z utežmi in vaje za ravnotežje so pomemben del kasnejših faz rehabilitacije, saj prispevajo k hitrejšemu okrevanju in višji funkcionalnosti kolka. Poleg tega kombinacija delovne in fizioterapije dviga samozavest in samostojnost pacientov. Glavni cilji programa so izboljšanje mišične moči, ravnotežja, gibljivosti, koordinacije in funkcionalne neodvisnosti.

Title:Effectiveness of physiotherapy treatment in femoral fracture
Abstract:Treating bone damage without professional guidance is extremely difficult and can lead to complications and incomplete recovery. Physiotherapy is key to optimal recovery as it provides structured rehabilitation that improves outcomes and reduces the risk of complications. After surgery, the tissue is often irritated, inflamed and painful, so physiotherapy is focused on relieving pain, improving mobility, strengthening muscles and preventing complications. Rehabilitation begins in the first weeks after surgery with active and passive exercises to prevent joint stiffness and maintain muscle mass. Various factors, such as the type of fracture, the type of operation, bad habits and medical condition, affect the rehabilitation program. Physiotherapy also helps in gradually loading the injured leg and learning to walk with crutches. Weight and balance exercises are an important part of the later stages of rehabilitation as they contribute to faster recovery and better hip functionality. Studies have shown that adding calcium and vitamin D does not significantly increase bone mineral density, while weight training can reduce bone density loss in older adults and increase bone density in postmenopausal women and children with cerebral palsy. With proper physiotherapy treatment, they can achieve faster and more effective results, while without physiotherapy, recovery takes longer. In addition, the combination of occupational therapy and physiotherapy can improve the self confidence and independence of patients. OTAGO’s exercise program, developed to prevent falls in the elderly, includes strength and balance exercises and has been proven to reduce the risk of falls. The main objectives of the program are to improve muscle strength, balance, flexibility, coordination and functional independence.
