Podatki so bili analizirani s statističnimi metodami, vključno s testiranjem hipotez in regresijsko analizo. Razprava: Ugotovitve raziskave poudarjajo pomen komuniciranja in izobraževanja prebivalstva o varovalnih in omejitvenih ukrepih v obdobjih javnozdravstvenih kriz.

Title:Self-assessmen of knowledge of protective and restrictive measures against covid-19 and possible impacts on their compliance
Abstract:Background: The COVID-19 pandemic posed challenges at all levels of society, including the need for protective and restrictive measures to prevent the spread of the virus. The effectiveness of these measures depends on the population’s knowledge of and willingness to comply with them. This study examines the self-assessed knowledge of measures among the population of Slovenia and identifies the factors influencing their compliance. Methods: A quantitative study was conducted using an online survey. A structured questionnaire was used. Data were analyzed using statistical methods, including hypothesis testing and regression analysis. Results: The results show that respondents were most familiar with measures such as proper hygiene when coughing and sneezing (70%), mandatory use of masks in indoor spaces (73%), and mandatory hand disinfection (73%). The least known measures were the mobile contact-tracing application (42%), the registration of participants at events (49%), and travel restrictions to countries with a worsening epidemiological situation (55%). The most common reason for complying with measures was the protection of vulnerable groups, while distrust in decision-makers was the main reason for non-compliance. Analysis showed that knowledge of the measures positively correlated with their implementation (r = 0.70), whereas gender was not a statistically significant factor in compliance. The analysis did not confirm that unclear instructions were the main reason for non-compliance. Discussion: The findings highlight the importance of communication and public education about protective and restrictive measures during public health crises. Providing consistent and understandable information supported by evidence is crucial for building trust and thereby increasing the effectiveness of the measures. The obtained results contribute to a better understanding of population behavior during crises and offer guidelines for future public health strategies.
