Literaturo smo iskali s pomočjo ključnih besed v slovenskem (angleškem) jeziku: sladkorna bolezen pri otrocih (childhood diabetes), zdravstveno vzgojno delo (health education work), obvladovanje sladkorne bolezni (diabetes management) in življenjski slog (lifestyle). Za iskanje smo uporabili mednarodne podatkovne baze: PubMed, CINAHL, ScienceDirect. S PRIZMA diagramom smo prikazali proces izločevanja zadetkov. Pri vsebinski analizi smo uporabili tehniko kodiranja in oblikovanja vsebinskih kategorij. Psihosocialni dejavniki in prilagojene intervencije prispevajo k boljši kakovosti življenja otrok.

Title:HEALTH EDUCATION WORK WITH A DEIABETIC CHILD
Abstract:Introduction: diabetes is the most common metabolic disease, causing physiological changes in almost all parts of the body. In children under the age of 10, type 1 diabetes is the most common, where the immune system attacks its own beta cells in the pancreas. Due to the obesity epidemic, the incidence of type 2 diabetes among children is also increasing. The aim of our research is to explore and analyze the importance of health education work in managing diabetes in children through a systematic review of the literature. Methods: we used a descriptive method. Literature was found using the following keywords: childhood diabetes, health education work, diabetes management, and lifestyle. International databases such as PubMed, CINAHL, and ScienceDirect were used for the search. The process of exclusion of results was presented using a PRISMA diagram. In the content analysis, the technique of coding and categorizing content was applied. Results: the total number of reviewed records was 1796, of which 15 were included in our review of literature (1781 articles were excluded). We included scientific and professional articles published between 2015 and 2025 that were freely accessible in full text. Through qualitative content analysis, we extracted 30 content codes from the articles, which were grouped into 4 categories. The review included 9 systematic literature reviews, 3 cross-sectional studies, and 2 qualitative studies. Discussion: a holistic approach that incorporates health education, family support, and the use of modern technology is essential for the successful management of diabetes in children. Psychosocial factors and tailored interventions contribute to an improved quality of life for children.
