Title:Materinstvo kot dejavnik ženskega podjetništva : magistrsko delo študijskega programa druge bolonjske stopnje Management poslovnih sistemov

Abstract:Magistrsko delo obravnava vpliv materinstva na podjetniške odločitve žensk v Sloveniji in temelji na ponovitvi raziskave iz leta 2008. Namen raziskave je bil preveriti, ali se je v zadnjih sedemnajstih letih spremenil vpliv družinskih dejavnikov na motivacijo, organizacijo dela in strateške usmeritve podjetnic. Osredotoča se na primerjavo podjetnic z otroki in brez otrok glede razlogov za podjetništvo, razporeditve delovnega časa, skrbstvenih obveznosti, mreženja in usmerjenosti v rast podjetja. Empirični del temelji na kvantitativni analizi spletne ankete, ki jo je izpolnilo 124 podjetnic. V raziskavi je bilo preverjenih enajst hipotez, ki so bile oblikovane na podlagi prvotne raziskave in usklajene z aktualnimi raziskovalnimi vprašanji. Ugotovitve kažejo, da se podjetnice z otroki za podjetništvo pogosteje odločajo po 35. letu starosti in višje vrednotijo fleksibilnost kot motivacijski dejavnik. V nasprotju z domnevo, da materinstvo omejuje podjetniške aktivnosti, raziskava kaže, da te podjetnice aktivno gradijo socialni kapital in niso izrazito manj usmerjene v rast podjetja. Primerjave z raziskavo iz leta 2008 kažejo, da se je vpliv materinstva na podjetništvo žensk delno spremenil. Podjetnice z otroki so danes bolj vključene v mreženje in razvoj podjetja, kar lahko nakazuje večjo sposobnost usklajevanja podjetništva in družinskih obveznosti kot nekoč. Delo poudarja pomen življenjskih okoliščin pri oblikovanju podjetniške poti ter potrebo po raznolikih in prilagodljivih oblikah podpore. Raziskava tako prispeva k boljšemu razumevanju sodobnega ženskega podjetništva ob prisotnosti družinskih obveznosti.

Abstract:This master's thesis explores the impact of motherhood on women's entrepreneurial decisions in Slovenia and is based on a replication of a 2008 study. The aim was to examine whether the influence of family-related factors on motivation, work organization, and strategic orientation among female entrepreneurs has changed over the past seventeen years. The focus is on comparing entrepreneurs with and without children regarding their reasons for entrepreneurship, time allocation, caregiving responsibilities, networking practices, and business growth orientation. The empirical part is based on a quantitative analysis of an online survey completed by 124 female entrepreneurs. Eleven hypotheses were tested, adapted from the original study and aligned with current research questions. Findings show that women with children are more likely to start a business after the age of 35 and assign greater importance to flexibility as a motivational factor. Contrary to the assumption that motherhood limits entrepreneurial activity, the study reveals that these women actively build social capital and are not significantly less growth-oriented. Comparisons with the 2008 study suggest that the influence of motherhood on women's entrepreneurship has partially changed. Mothers in business are now more engaged in networking and company development, which may indicate a greater ability to balance entrepreneurship with family responsibilities than in the past. The thesis highlights the importance of life circumstances in shaping entrepreneurial paths and the need for diverse and adaptable forms of support. It contributes to a better understanding of contemporary female entrepreneurship in the context of family responsibilities.
