Abstract:V diplomski nalogi proučujemo stanje digitalizacije v državah članicah Evropske unije, s poudarkom na Sloveniji.

Abstract:The diploma thesis examines the state of digitisation in the member states of the European Union with a focus on Slovenia. In the theoretical part, we present the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of digitisation and digital innovation, as well as key policies and indicators in this field. In the empirical part, we analyse the Digital Decade 2024 Report, which shows that Slovenia stands out in the development of e-health, digital infrastructure, and the use of artificial intelligence in business, while it lags in the use of data analytics in companies, the introduction of digital innovations in business operations, and the number of ICT professionals. In addition, national and regional chambers of commerce and industry highlight the urgent need for swift action to address Slovenia's lagging digitalisation performance, the need to invest in digital competences and advanced technologies, and to reallocate resources more efficiently.
