Title:Uporaba virtualne resničnosti v fizioterapiji pri otrocih s cerebralno paralizo - pregled literature : diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študijskega programa prve bolonjske stopnje Fizioterapija

Abstract:Cerebralna paraliza je nevrološka motnja, ki vpliva na motorične funkcije, držo in koordinacijo ter zahteva večplastno rehabilitacijo. Fizioterapija se je pokazala kot zelo pomembna veja rehabilitacije, z napredkom tehnologije pa razvoj virtualne resničnosti ponuja nov pristop v fizioterapiji. Metode: V pričujoči raziskavi je bil izveden pregled literature, pri čemer so bili članki iskani v podatkovnih bazah PubMed, PEDro, ScienceDirect, COBISS+ in Google Učenjak ter izbrani na podlagi vključitvenih in izključitvenih kriterijev. V pregled je bilo vključenih 11 člankov na temo uporabe virtualne resničnosti v fizioterapiji pri otrocih s cerebralno paralizo. Rezultati: Analiza literature je pokazala, da osem člankov potrjuje pozitivne učinke terapije, ki temelji na virtualni resničnosti, med katerimi so omenjeni izboljšanje funkcionalnosti, koordinacije, ravnotežja, hoje po vadbi, mišične moči spodnjih okončin, spretnosti zgornjih okončin in grobe motorike. Omenjena sta tudi izboljšanje samozavesti pri otrocih s cerebralno paralizo po terapiji in močno povečanje motivacije za izvajanje fizioterapije. Ostali trije članki so mešanega oziroma nasprotujočega mnenja. Razprava: Terapije, ki temeljijo na virtualni resničnosti v kombinaciji z nevrorazvojno fizioterapijo, so se izkazale za učinkovite pri otrocih s cerebralno paralizo, vendar pa kljub obetavnim rezultatom obstajajo izzivi, kot so omejena dostopnost terapij virtualne resničnosti v klinični praksi, visoki stroški opreme in usposobljenost strokovnega kadra, negativni stranski učinki, kot sta vrtoglavica in slabost pri uporabnikih, ter pomanjkanje standardnih protokolov za uporabo virtualne resničnosti v terapevtske namene.

Abstract:Cerebral palsy is a neurological disorder that affects motor function, posture and coordination and requires multifaceted rehabilitation. Physiotherapy has emerged as a very important branch of rehabilitation, and with advances in technology, the development of virtual reality offers a new approach in physiotherapy. Methods: In the present study, a literature review was conducted, where articles were searched in PubMed, PEDro, ScienceDirect, COBISS+ and Google Scholar databases and selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The review included 11 articles on the use of virtual reality in physiotherapy for children with cerebral palsy. Results: The analysis of the literature showed that eight articles confirmed the positive effects of VR-based therapy, including improvements in functionality, coordination, balance, walking after exercise, lower limb muscle strength, upper limb dexterity and gross motor skills. Improved self-confidence in children with cerebral palsy after therapy and a strong increase in motivation to undertake physiotherapy are also mentioned. The other three articles are of mixed or contradictory opinion. Discussion: Virtual reality-based therapies combined with neurodevelopmental physiotherapy have been shown to be effective for children with cerebral palsy, but despite promising results, there are challenges, such as the limited availability of virtual reality therapies in clinical practice, the high cost of equipment and the qualifications of professional staff, negative side effects such as dizziness and nausea in users, and the lack of standard protocols for the use of virtual reality for therapeutic purposes.
