Abstract:Gibanje je eno pomembnejših področij človeškega vsakodnevnega delovanja. V veliki meri vpliva na rast in razvoj, saj se z rastjo in razvojem otrokove sposobnosti večajo. Metoda: V teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo za predstavitev osnovnih definicij rasti, razvoja, motoričnega razvoja, razvojnih mejnikov in ostalih. V empiričnem delu smo v raziskavi uporabili kvantitativni raziskovalni pristop, za raziskovanje izbrane teme smo uporabili metodo anketiranja z anonimnim in prostovoljnim anketnim vprašalnikom. Podatke smo statistično obdelali s pomočjo programa Microsoft Windows Excel in statističnega orodja IBM SPSS.

Abstract:Movement is one of the most important areas of children's and human daily activities. Movement has a major impact on growth and development, as a child's abilities increase with growth and development. Human motor development begins already in the prenatal period and is continuously fulfilled in further development. It is especially pronounced in the first three years of life, so the aim of the thesis was to investigate the awareness of the parents in our sample about the typical motor development of the child. Method: In the theoretical part of the thesis, we used a descriptive method to present the basic definitions of growth, development, motor development, developmental milestones and others. In the empirical part of the research, we used a quantitative research approach, an anonymous and voluntary survey questionnaire to investigate the selected topic. The data were statistically processed using the Microsoft Windows Excel program and the IBM SPSS statistical tool. Results: The results of the research show that the level of parents' awareness about proper motor development is low. The most important source of information in our sample was self-research via the internet, while the degree of participation of the physiotherapist was moderate and less than half of the subjects sought or obtained information from the developmental physiotherapist. Discussion: The findings show that there is a need for an improvement in parents' awareness of the topic of children's correct motor development, which would help them in early detection of possible deviations in development.
