Title:LACTATION AND BREASTFEEDING AFTER CAESAREAN SECITON
Abstract:Theoretical Background: Lactation is the process of milk production and secretion. Two hormones are involved in the process: prolactin, which is responsible for milk production, and oxytocin, which is responsible for milk ejection from the breast. With the correct breastfeeding technique, most problems can be prevented, and various breastfeeding positions can be used to help with this. Breast milk also has various benefits for a newborn that have a positive effect on them. After a cesarean section, it is important to provide postoperative care to the mother, monitoring all vital functions. For optimal recovery, support from both the partner and family, as well as from nurses and other medical staff, is also important. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how caesarean section affects lactation and breastfeeding, and the experience of mothers with lactation and breastfeeding after a caesarean section.
