Abstract:Uvod: Dandanes predstavlja razvojna displazija kolka pogosto stanje in lahko vodi do resnih posledic v primeru nepravočasnega odkritja in zdravljenja. Pozno odkritje in zdravljenje v kasnejših fazah pogosto zahtevata obsežnejše operacije, kar povzroči večje zaplete ter vodi v slabši funkcionalni izid.

Abstract:Introduction: Nowadays, developmental dysplasia of the hip is a common condition and can lead to serious consequences if not detected and treated in time. The developmental disorder can occur in childhood, which is called developmental dysplasia of the hip, or in adolescence or adulthood, which is called hip dysplasia or acetabular dysplasia. Late detection and treatment in later stages often require more extensive surgery, which causes greater complications and leads to a worse functional outcome. Thus, we wanted to determine which are the most commonly used and most effective physiotherapy methods and techniques in the treatment of developmental dysplasia of the hip. Methods: In the literature review, we have included 7 scientific studies in English and Slovene, published between 2015 and 2025. We selected scientific works using the PRISMA diagram and evaluated them using the PEDro scale. Results: The most common and most effective physiotherapy methods and techniques were found to be kinesiotherapy and manual techniques such as massage, traction, passive mobilization and passive stretching. Conclusion: After reviewing the literature, we concluded that appropriate physiotherapy treatment is crucial in the treatment of developmental dysplasia of the hip, as it prevents complications, reduces the need for surgical interventions, improves functionality, enables greater independence and has a positive impact on the quality of life.
