Abstract:Uvod: Zavzeti zaposleni imajo številne pozitivne učinke na delovno okolje in uspešnost organizacije.

Abstract:Introduction: Engaged employees have numerous positive effects on the work environment and the success of the organization. Engaged employees are those who are emotionally connected to their work and the organization, motivated, dedicated, and strive to achieve common goals. Therefore, the purpose of the study was to examine the level of employee engagement at the Murska Sobota Health Center. Methods: A non-experimental method of empirical quantitative research was used, with a non-random sample, which included 169 of employees that work in Murska Sobota Health Center. For statistical analysis, descriptive and bivariate analysis were used and SPSS 29.0 software was employed. The level of statistical significance was set at α<0.05. Results: 108 (67.9%) of the respondents expressed a high level of engagement, which significantly exceeded our expected rate of 33.3% (binomial test=57.075; p<0.001). Engagement did not differ significantly based on work experience (H=1.371; p=0.849) or education level (H=3.757; p=0.585). The highest level of engagement was found among respondents from the BabyBoom generation. No differences in work engagement were observed between those holding higher or lower-level positions (U=1624.500; p=0.202). Discussion and conclusion: The results show that employee engagement in the Murska Sobota Health Center was high. Engagement was not related to work experience or education level, suggesting that factors such as workplace culture, relationships among employees, and the perceived significance of their work are more crucial in shaping engagement. The results provide valuable insights for human resource management in healthcare, where maintaining and enhancing employee motivation is essential.
