Title:Fizioterapija na daljavo za preprečevanje padcev pri starejših – pregled literature : diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študijskega programa prve bolonjske stopnje Fizioterapija

Abstract:Teoretična izhodišča: Padci pri starejših predstavljajo resen javnozdravstveni problem, ki se bo zaradi daljše pričakovane življenjske dobe še povečeval. Programi za preprečevanje padcev so učinkovita rešitev, vendar se jih vsi starejši ne morejo fizično udeležiti. Zato se razvijajo nove oblike fizioterapije na daljavo, ki omogočajo obravnavo motenj ravnotežja in preprečevanje padcev tudi doma. V diplomskem delu smo preučili fizioterapevtske intervencije na daljavo in sodobne tehnologije za oceno in preprečevanje padcev. Metoda: Uporabili smo raziskovalni dizajn kvalitativne vsebinske analize. Vire smo iskali v strokovnih bazah PEDro, PubMed, ScienceDirect in Google Učenjak. Literaturo smo izbirali na podlagi vključitvenih in izključitvenih kriterijev, pregled literature pa je potekal od decembra 2023 do novembra 2024. Rezultati: V empirični del diplomske naloge smo vključili 12 raziskav, ki so pokazale, da je fizioterapija na daljavo varna, izvedljiva in učinkovita pri preprečevanju padcev pri starejših. Primerljiva je s fizioterapijo v živo, saj izboljšuje ravnotežje, mišično moč, gibljivost in hojo, ki so ključni dejavniki tveganja za padce. Razprava: Fizioterapija na daljavo je primerljiva s terapijo v živo in omogoča učinkovito preprečevanje padcev pri starejših. Fizioterapevti na daljavo vodijo vadbo, ocenjujejo napredek, prilagajajo programe ter spodbujajo motivacijo starejših. Pri tem uporabljajo videokonference, posnete vadbene videe in fitnes igre v okolju navidezne resničnosti (exergames). Pametne naprave, kot so pametni telefoni, tablice in osebni računalniki, ter senzorji, monitorji in globinske kamere omogočajo natančno spremljanje pravilne izvedbe vaj ter napredka posameznikov. Telefizioterapija se je tako izkazala kot učinkovita in dostopna alternativa za preprečevanje padcev pri starejših.

Abstract:Theoretical background: Falls in the elderly pose a serious public health issue, expected to increase due to longer life expectancy. Fall prevention programs are an effective solution, but not all elderly individuals can attend them in person. Consequently, new forms of telephysiotherapy are being developed, enabling balance disorder management and fall prevention at home. This thesis examines telephysiotherapeutic interventions and modern technologies for fall assessment and prevention. Method: We employed a qualitative content analysis research design. Sources were retrieved from professional databases such as PEDro, PubMed, ScienceDirect and Google Scholar. Literature selection was based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, with the review conducted from December 2023 to November 2024. Results: The empirical part of the thesis included 12 studies showing that telephysiotherapy is safe, feasible and effective in preventing falls among older adults. It is comparable to in-peron physiotherapy, as it improves balance, muscle strength, flexibility and gait, which are key risk factors in reducing fall risk. Discussion: Telephysiotherapy is comparable to face-to-face therapy, offering effective fall prevention for older individuals. Physiotherapists can remotely guide exercises, evaluate progress, adjust programs and maintain patient motivation. They utilize video conferencing, pre-recorded exercise videos and fitness games in virtual reality environments (exergames). Smart devices such as smartphones, tablets and personal computers, along with sensors, monitors and depth cameras, enable precise monitoring of exercise execution and individual progress. Telephysiotherapy has proven to be an effective and accessible alternative for fall prevention among elderly.
