Abstract:Teoretična opredelitev: Hondromalacija patele je kronično stanje, pri katerem pride do zmehčanja hrustanca pogačice, kar povzroča bolečino v kolenskem sklepu.

Abstract:Theoretical definition: Chondromalacia patella is a chronic condition characterized by the softening of the patellar cartilage, causing knee joint pain. Due to the complexity of treatment, it is essential to identify the most effective physiotherapeutic approaches for pain reduction. The purpose of this thesis is to determine which physiotherapeutic methods are the most effective in chondromalacia patella pain management. Methodology: The thesis is based on a literature review, using descriptive method and comparative methods. When searching for relevant literature in the databases PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar, the inclusion criteria ensured that sources were published after 2012 and that at least a quarter of the sources consisted of foreign literature. Results: The key findings indicate that the most effective approach is a combination of manual therapy, exercise therapy and kinesiology tape. Discussion: Based on the literature reviewed, it can be concluded that a combination of manual therapy, exercise therapy and the use of kinesiology tape represents the most effective physiotherapeutic approach for managing pain in chondromalacia patella. Laser therapy has also proven effective, as it can contribute to faster pain relief before starting manual or exercise therapy. The findings highlight the importance of a comprehensive and individualized approach in physiotherapy for pain improvement.
