Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo raziskali zaščito in varovanje osebnih podatkov v podjetjih, s poudarkom na Splošni uredbi o varstvu osebnih podatkov (GDPR) in njenem vplivu na poslovno prakso.

Abstract:In this thesis, we explored the protection and safeguarding of personal data in companies, focusing on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its impact on business practices. We found that the GDPR introduces greater responsibility and transparency. We examined various aspects of data protection, including employee rights, the roles of data controllers and processors, and the fundamental principles of data protection. A review of case law and practical examples shows that non-compliance with regulations can lead to serious legal consequences. We presented cases of companies that successfully implement security measures and training to reduce the risk of violations. Empirical research has demonstrated that information awareness and employee training significantly influence the effectiveness of data protection. Thus, data protection is both a legal obligation and a key factor in trust, helping companies meet legal requirements and improve competitiveness.
