Abstract:Partnerski odnosi predstavljajo eno izmed osrednjih področij človekovega življenja. Odnosi so tesno povezani z občutkom varnosti, podpore in osebnim izpolnjenjem. Podatke smo pridobili s pomočjo standardiziranih anketnih vprašalnikov za ocenjevanje uspešnosti razreševanja psihosocialnih stadijev, kakovosti partnerskega odnosa in zadovoljstva z življenjem (SWLS).

Title:The Link between Psychosocial Development, Romantic Relationship Quality, and Life Satisfaction
Abstract:Romantic relationships represent one of the central areas of human life. Relationships are closely connected to feelings of security, support, and personal fulfillment. This master's thesis examines the link between the successful resolution of psychosocial stages, the quality of romantic relationships, and life satisfaction. The empirical part is based on a quantitative research approach. The study included 112 adult individuals who were in a romantic relationship. Data were collected using standardized questionnaires to assess the successful resolution of psychosocial stages, the quality of the romantic relationship, and life satisfaction (SWLS). The results of Spearman’s correlations (Pearson’s in one case) showed that successful resolution of all six stages is positively associated with perceived partner support and relationship depth and negatively associated with the frequency of conflicts. The strongest associations were observed in the stages of basic trust and identity. In addition, it was found that life satisfaction correlates positively with higher quality of romantic relationships. The study therefore provides insight into how early and later developmental experiences influence the quality of intimate romantic relationships in adulthood. The findings confirm the importance of psychosocial development for understanding the quality of romantic relationships and life satisfaction. They contribute to theoretical insights in developmental psychology as well as to practical guidelines for counseling and therapeutic work with couples and to preventive programs that emphasize the importance of early developmental experiences for later life.
