Analizirane raziskave so obravnavale različne fizioterapevtske pristope.

Title:Effectiveness of physiotherapy treatment in De Quervain tenosinovitis
Abstract:This thesis explored the effectiveness of physiotherapy in managing DQT, a common pathology of the wrist and thumb often linked to repetitive movements and upper limb overuse. The purpose was to review the existing literature in order to assess the impact of different physiotherapy methods on pain reduction and functional improvement in patients with DQT. The study also aimed to provide recommendations for clinical practice and to determine whether there is reliable scientific evidence supporting the effectiveness of physiotherapy in the management of this condition. The hypothesis assumed that physiotherapy methods and techniques significantly contribute to the improvement of DQT symptoms. A total of 12 studies were included in the review, selected according to predefined quality and relevance criteria. The analyzed studies investigated various physiotherapy approaches. Results showed that most studies confirmed the effectiveness of physiotherapy methods in reducing pain, improving mobility, and enhancing wrist function. However, the majority of studies were limited by small sample sizes, short follow-up periods, and methodological differences. Based on the literature review, the hypothesis can only be partially confirmed. There is evidence that physiotherapy interventions relieve symptoms and improve functionality, but their long-term effectiveness has not yet been definitively established. For clinical practice, the most promising approaches appear to be combinations of physical modalities with active exercise, therapy tailored to the stage of the condition, and patient education. The findings of this thesis provide a stronger foundation for clinical decision-making in physiotherapy and highlight the need for further high-quality research to enable the development of clear guidelines for the treatment of patients with DQT.
