Abstract:In the modern world of offer and demand, based on a global business environment, every single company, wishing to be successful in comparison with its competitors, has to follow the process of adjusting to all changes within its business environment. By determining the crucial factors of globalisation, the main characteristics of globalisation can be based. Furthermore, their influence on companiesʼ restructuring can be analysed. Theoretical background and practical work state, that only those companies can be successful, that experience the reorganisation in the sense of a learning organisation, which - led by a modern management of knowledge - is based on a permanent learning of its leadership and other employees. By choosing two Slovenian textile companies (Lisca and Polzela) coincidentally and analysing the relationship of their employees towards knowledge with help of an anonymous questionnaire, it is possible to conclude how successful the Slovenian textile industry is in the process of transition from a traditionally structured organisation to a learning one. By stressing the existing elements of a learning organisation within the two chosen Slovene textile companies, some relevant suggestions of completion and improvement according to learning organisation restructuring and future reorganisation trends within the analysed companies could be given and discussed.
