Blago, kapital in storitve so postali mobilni v mednarodnem obsegu. Iskanje novih trgov, prestavljanje proizvodnje in tehnologij na nova območja, kjer so ustreznejše možnosti (nižja cena dela in kapitala), potrebe kemijske, farmacevtske in drugih industrij zahtevajo mobilnost velikih količin nevarnih snovi, s čimer se ustvarja izjemne možnosti za ekološke katastrofe. Človek je bistveno pripomogel k upadanju raznolikosti življenja z nesmotrno rabo zemljišč, spreminjanjem pokrajine s kmetijskimi in gradbenimi posegi, onesnaževanjem, podnebnimi spremembami, naseljevanjem invazivnih vrst, lovom in divjim lovom ... Izobraževanje in usposabljanje sta ključna elementa strategije. Poleg tega zahteva pristop celotne skupnosti.

Abstract:The theme of the master's thesis is the current issue of the protection of endangered species. The problem of their extinction is already very extensive. Unless the extinction is a part of a natural process, there are some scientifically proofs that many human activities are the key value in some nearby extinctions. With the growth of our population, increased our interventions in nature. Goods, capital and services have become mobile in an international context. The search for new markets, the migration of production and technologies into new areas with better options (lower cost of labor and capital), the needs by the chemical, pharmaceutical and other industries require the mobility of large quantities of hazardous substances. This creates a great potential for ecological disasters. The human contribution to the reduction of biodiversity is not negligible. With its improper use of land, changing the landscape for agricultural and construction activities, pollution, climate changes, settlement of invasive species, hunting and poaching... All these facts lead to the extinction of hundreds of species. Although in Slovenia the environment protection problem is adequately secured by law, there are no expected results. On the field we do not properly train people and we do not have an efficient supervision. Law enforcement is very mild for this kind of violation. Many times we do not take into consideration the recommendations from the experts of environment studies. Agents of destruction can be avoided only by strict adherence to statutory regulation and a responsible and far-sighted management of sustainable natural areas. Education and training are the key elements of the strategy. Moreover, the approach requires the entire community.
