Abstract:
Diplomsko delo govori o mednarodnem pravnem varstvu okolja oziroma kako se varuje okolje s pravnimi mehanizmi v mednarodnem pravu. Poudarek v tem delu bo na mednarodnih organizacijah in njihovi vlogi pri kreaciji mednarodnega okoljskega prava. Diplomsko delo je razdeljeno na uvod in pet poglavij. V uvodu so postavljeni cilji diplomskega dela. V prvem poglavju se dotaknem predvsem okolja, definiciji okolja, kako se uničuje, v kakšnem stanju je okolje kljub vsem okoljskim katastrofam, ki so lahko tudi posledica slabega stanja okolja. Drugo poglavje je posvečeno zgodovinskemu razvoju mednarodnega okoljskega prava, v njem tudi pojasnim, kaj sploh je disciplina mednarodnega okoljskega prava ter kronološko predstavim razvoj mednarodnih konferenc, ki je pripeljal do mednarodnega okoljskega prava, kakršnega poznamo danes. V tretjem poglavju se dotaknem načel mednarodnega okoljskega prava. Četrto poglavje je posvečeno mednarodnim organizacijam. Peto, zadnje poglavje, je namenjeno pravni ureditvi okolja znotraj prava EU.

Abstract:
The thesis is about the international legal protection of the environment and how the environment is protected by legal mechanisms in international law. The focus in this section will be on international organizations and their role in the creation of international environmental law. The thesis is divided into an introduction and five chapters. In the introduction to the set objectives of the thesis. The first chapter is mainly touched on the environment, the definition of the environment, how it destroys the condition of the environment in spite of all environmental disasters, which may also be due to the poor state of the environment. The second chapter is devoted to the historical development of international environmental law, as well as explain what does the discipline of international environmental law, and explain chronological development of international conferences which led to international environmental law as we know it today. In the third chapter we touch the principles of international environmental law. The fourth chapter is devoted to international organizations. The fifth and the last chapter is devoted to the regulation of environmental protection within EU law.
