Abstract:Pri pisanju magistrskega dela sem želela ugotoviti trenutno stanje obnovljivih virov v Sloveniji in v Evropski uniji (v nadaljevanju EU) (kaj nas čaka v prihodnosti). Obnovljivi viri in zelena tehnologija so zaželeni. Prepogosto se dogaja, da so pričakovanja visoka, zato projekti propadejo. Krivci so različni: politika, pomanjkanje denarja, interesa, strah pred spremembami, okoliško prebivalstvo... A ostati moramo pozitivni, saj so obnovljivi viri energije energenti prihodnosti. Vendar to lahko dosežemo le, če bomo pripravljeni spremeniti svoje razmišljanje, način dela in življenja.

Abstract:The purpose of this master's thesis was to examine the current condition of renewable sources in Slovenia and the European Union (and what future holds for this area). The review of domestic and foreign literature showed that change is necessary otherwise the humankind may face extinction. A lot of expert literature deals with green resources. Numerous meetings and conferences have been held on the topic and many acts and agreements have been signed. Renewables and green technology represent a desired course of action. However, expectations are often too high and projects fail. The reasons for it are rather diverse: politics, a lack of money and interest, fearing change, the surrounding population, and so on. Just like any fossil energy project, renewable sources require time, money, patience, and business opportunities. But we must give up or change certain things to eventually live in a green environment. We should strive to keep nature clean and in a good condition. Consumerism puts society first. Nature is being exploited and the consequences seem irrelevant. Humans cannot live without nature, but nature can easily live without humans. The way people interfere with nature should be well-planned because natural ecosystems must be preserved for future generations. Nature should be our equal and people should internalise an environmental morale at an early age. Capitalism has blurred the lines and caused significant damage and pain. But there is still room for optimism because renewable energy resources are our future. The only thing we have to do is change our thinking, the way we work, and our life.
