Abstract:Digitalna tehnologija prežema vse več segmentov sodobne družbe. Poslovanje podjetij in ustanov postaja virtualizirano in digitalizirano. Zaposleni se za uspešno opravljanje nalog na delovnem mestu prilagajajo zahtevam novih tehnologij. Raven usvojene digitalne kompetence je tista, ki posamezniku omogoča uspešno prilagajanje. Tako razvijanje digitalnih kompetenc ni omejeno samo na obdobje primarnega in sekundarnega izobraževanja, temveč je vseživljenjski proces. Naše raziskovanje področja digitalnih kompetenc se bo zato omejilo na vpliv gerontofobije in odnosa do staranja na posameznikovo pridobljeno raven digitalnih kompetenc.

Abstract:Digital technologies are becoming more and more prevalent in today´s modern society. E-commerce already plays an integral part in how companies and institutions operate. Employees need to adapt to the requirements of new technologies in order to complete work tasks. Digital competence plays a vital role in the adaptation to these requirements. Therefore, the need to develop digital competence is no longer restricted to primary and secondary education, but it has become a lifelong process. Our research of the digital competence will focus on the influence of the individual’s attitude towards aging and gerontophobia on the acquired level of digital competence.
