Language: Slovenian Work type: Bachelor thesis/paper Tipology: 2.11 - Undergraduate Thesis Organization: FIZIOTERAPEVTIKA - PHYSIOTHERAPEUTICA Abstract: Uvod in namen: Pri uporabi pametnih telefonov je glava v položaju, ki lahko povzroča bolečine v vratu in glavi. Namen diplomske naloge je preučiti povezavo med uporabo sodobnih mobilnih naprav in pojavnostjo bolečin v vratu in glavi pri mladostnikih. Metode: Podatki so bili zbrani s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika, ki je obsegal 13 vprašanj. Raziskava je bila izvedena na vzorcu 199 mladostnikov savinjske regije, starih od 15 do 19 let. Rezultati so bili obdelani s pomočjo programa SPSS 23.0. Rezultati: Analiza pridobljenih rezultatov je pokazala povezavo med uporabo pametnih telefonov in pojavnostjo bolečine v vratu in glavi. Pogoste in občasne bolečine v glavi in vratu je imelo 35.7 % deklet in 29.6 % fantov. Rezultati so pokazali, da med večletno uporabo pametnega telefona in jakostjo bolečine v vratu obstaja pozitivna nizka povezanost (r = 0.3; p < 0.01), med večletno uporabo pametnega telefona in jakostjo bolečine v glavi pa nizka povezanost (r = 0.4; p < 0.001). Uporabnost: Pridobljeni rezultati ankete lahko pomembno vplivajo na razvoj posodobljenih preventivnih programov in ukrepov, ki bi lahko zajemali ergonomske ukrepe kot izobraževanje mladostnikov o pravilni drži telesa pri uporabi sodobnih mobilnih naprav. Omejitev: Vprašalnik je izpolnilo 199 mladostnikov savinjske regije. Raziskavo bi bilo smiselno opraviti še v drugih regijah. Title:	RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE OCCURRENCE OF HEAD AND NECK PAIN AND USE OF MODERN MOBILE DEVICES IN COLLEGE STUDENTS
Abstract:	Introduction and purpose: When using smartphones, the head is in a position which causes neck and head pain. The purpose of the thesis is to examine the connection between the use of modern mobile devices and the occurence of neck and head pain in college students. Methods: The data was collected with a survey, which contained 13 questions. There were 199 participants from Savinjska region, aged from 15 to 19 years, who were processed with the SPSS program, 23.0. Results: Analysis from obtained data has shown a correlaton between the use of mobile devices and the occurence of neck and head pain. Common and occasional head and neck pain was experienced by 35.7 % of girls and 29.6 % of boys. Results have shown that there is a positive low correlation (r = 0.3; p < 0.01), between years of smartphone use and neck pain, and low correlation betwen years of smartphone use and the severity of head pain (r = 0.4; p < 0.001). Usability: The obtained results of the survey could significantly influence the development of updated preventive programs and actions which could include ergonomic interventions such as educating college students about correct body posture while using modern mobile devices. Limitations: 199 college students of the Savinjska region participated in the survey. Other regions should also be included in the research
