Abstract:Glavobol velja za enega najpogostejših dejavnikov onesposobljenosti svetovnega prebivalstva.

Title:EFFECTIVENESS OF DIFFERENT PHYSIOTHERAPEUTIC TECHNIQUES IN MANAGEMENT OF CERVICOGENIC HEADACHE
Abstract:Headache is considered one of the most frequent disability factors of the world’s population. CH represents one of the most frequent types of headache. For a long time, questions were raised regarding the most effective therapy approaches and physiotherapy was considered one of the most frequently used effective methods. To make a diagnosis, we need the diagnostic criteria as well as enough knowledge of cervical spine. Due to the complexity of the cervical part, diagnosing CH posed a problem to orthopaedists and physiotherapists, which is why CH was often diagnosed as other types of headache. Today the knowledge and competence of physiotherapists are wide enough and supported by scientific literature, so that an accurate diagnosis can be made with good manual techniques, and therapeutic procedures can be carried out to treat CH. Scientifically supported practice is the most effective way of choosing therapeutic approaches. Among the most effective methods of treating CH (regardless of the type) proved to be the mobilization of the cervical spine and therapeutic exercises for endurance and stretching of deep cervical flexors, where the biggest impact is achieved in the form of combination therapy.
