Abstract: | The thesis with the title ''Legal regulation of economic diplomacy between Slovenia and Italy'', describes and defines the economic relationship and the evolution of the relationship or rather relations between Slovenia and Italy. Therefore, at the beginning it deals with the history of important events and the path of creating relations between the two countries. After an in-depth insight into the development or rather the establishment of relations between the two countries, the thesis tackles the notion of economic diplomacy and, of course, describes the origin and a short history of this concept or, more correctly, this discipline as a part of diplomacy. After the description of the notion of economic diplomacy and its role in relations between countries in general, the thesis addresses the issue of the specific regulation of economic diplomacy within each country and, of coruse, the relationship between the two countries, namely, the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Italy. The main issue here is how the domestic law regulates the field of economic diplomacy in Slovenia as well as in Italy. It also provides a description of some institutions that are engaged in economic diplomacy in each of the countries. After providing an insight into the internal regulation of economic diplomacy of both countries, the thesis addresses the issue of international regulation of economic diplomacy of Italy and Slovenia. It further describes the international agreements resulting from negotiations and cooperation of several countries, and the arrangements made as a result of discussions held between Slovenia and Italy. There is also a more detailed description of the arrangements, which are relatively young in terms of their adoption, and have nowadays a significant impact on the relationship between the two countries. For a better understanding of the entire topic, the thesis describes and explains the meaning and creation of international law and/or most relevant international agreements. The thesis concludes with an opinion on the legal regulation of economic diplomacy conducted between Slovenia and Italy. In addition to the opinion on the regulation, it also provides an opinion on the possibilities of its improvement and a mere comparison of the regulation of economic diplomacy in each of the countries. |
