Abstract:S staranjem se zmanjša učinkovitost vidnega, vestibularnega in somatosenzoričnega oziroma proprioceptivnega sistema. Izboljšali so si dinamično ravnotežje, gibljivost, reakcijski čas in moč mišic.

Title:Impact of learning demanding motor skills in elderly
Abstract:With aging, the effectiveness of the visual, vestibular, and somatosensory or proprioceptive systems is reduced, as well as the mobility of the joints and muscular strength to maintain or restore balance, which results in fall. In our graduation thesis we want to determine if learning demanding motor skills could affect the mobility of older people. In the literature review, we included 10 research that excluded a small number of subjects, age under 60, inconsistent content with diploma content, incomplete research, and full-text research. Research shows that learning demanding motor skills can significantly affect the balance and other motor skills of the elderly. Exercise also has an effect on changing the anatomy of the brain and improving cognitive performance. The results show that those who have had different motor skills and have been training, for at least 2 months, compared to inactive elderly, have improved mobility. They have improved their dynamic balance, agility, reaction time and muscle strength to maintain a relaxed posture due to improved postural muscle strength. To conclude, we have learned that learning motor skills can have potential benefits to the sensory and motor system for maintaining balance during posture, which would improve balance, posture control and also reduce falls.
