Abstract:Uvod in namen: Zdravljenje kronične bolečine v križu (BVK) poteka konzervativno ali operativno in je pogosto zelo zahtevno in dolgotrajno. Namen diplomske naloge je raziskati učinkovitost konzervativnega (KOZ) in operativnega zdravljenja (OPZ) pri pacientih s kronično BVK in preveriti učinkovitost zdravljenja glede na kratkoročno in dolgoročno spremljanje pacientov. Metode: Diplomska naloga temelji na pregledu literature. Strokovno literaturo smo pridobili s pomočjo elektronskih baz podatkov PubMed in Cochrane Library. V raziskave so vključeni pacienti z različnimi diagnozami in klinično sliko. Raziskave so slabe kakovosti in večinoma med skupinama ni bilo pomembnih razlik.

Title:Comparison of the effectiveness between conservative and surgical treatment in patients with chronic low back pain
Abstract:Introduction and purpose: Treatment of chronic low back pain (LBP) is conservative or surgical and is often very demanding and long lasting. The purpose of the graduation thesis is to investigate the effectiveness of conservative (COT) and surgical treatment (SUT) in patients with chronic LBP and to check the effectiveness of treatment in short term and long term follow up of patients. Methods: The graduation thesis is based on a review of the literature. We used professional literature from electronic databases PubMed and Cochrane Library. Results: 10 studies were included in the analysis. We found that SUT in patients with chronic LBP is more effective in the short term. Because it usually more quickly reduces pain, improves function, and consequently quality of life. In the long term follow up, COT can be just as effective as SUT. Usability: The graduation thesis is intended for all those who treat LBP and those that have LBP. Limitations: Approaches of COT and SUT are different; they use different methods of treatment. In studies are included patients with different diagnoses and different clinical picture. The studies are low quality and for the most part there were no significant differences between the groups.
Keywords:chronic low back pain, conservative treatment, surgical treatment.
