Abstract:KLJUČNE INFORMACIJE O DELU BARBOLINA. A.: Preprečevanje pooperativne pljučnice z respiratorno fizioterapijo. Iskanje literature smo izvedli v splošnih podatkovnih zdravstvenih in medicinskih zbirkah PubMed, Cochrane, ScienceDirect, Cobiss in Google Scholar. Upoštevali smo vključitvene in izključitvene dejavnike, in sicer letnico izdaje članka, jezik in število preiskovancev. Omejitve: Raziskave s premajhnim številom preiskovancev, nedokončane raziskave in raziskave z različnim trajanjem terapij so v naši raziskavi predstavljale izključitvene dejavnike. Ključne besede: pooperativna pljučnica, preventiva pred pooperativnimi pljučnicami, metode respiratorne fizioterapije. Tip dela: Diplomska naloga 1. stopnje; 2021, Fizioterapevtika 29 (51) str., 1 pregl., 83 vir. Mentor (S. Videnšek), recenzent (F. Kresal).

Title:Prevention of postoperative pneumonia with respiratory physiotherapy
Abstract:KEY INFORMATION ABOUT GRADUATION THESIS BARBOLINA. A: Prevention of postoperative pneumonia with respiratory physiotherapy Introduction and purpose: Nowadays postoperative pneumonia as a postoperative complication presents a large staffing and financial burden on the healthcare system, as it often leads to higher mortality, longer hospital stays and additional treatment costs. The goal of this thesis is to present the causes of postoperative pneumonia, its treatment approach and prevention, based on the collected scientific literature, and thus propose a solution to the problem in practice. Methods: The working method is literature review. The literature was obtained in the following medical and scientific databases: PubMed, Cochrane, ScienceDirect, Cobiss, and Google Scholar. We considered inclusion and exclusion factors, namely the year of publication of the article, the language and the number of respondents. Results: Studies confirm the effectiveness of various physiotherapeutic techniques in preventing postoperative pneumonia, among which there was not enough evidence for apparatuses and devices. The most effective results in the prevention of postoperative pneumonia in the reviewed studies are confirmed to be by the mobilization of patients and the breathing exercises. Usability: This thesis may be used as a reference guidelines when deciding between various methods in respiratory physiotherapy for the prevention of postoperative pneumonia in patients. Limitations: The limited factors on which the articles were selected are research with a small number of subjects, unfinished research, and research with different duration of therapies. Key words: postoperative pneumonia, prevention of postoperative pneumonia, methods of respiratory physiotherapy. Type: Graduation Thesis; 2021, Fizioterapevtika 29 (51) p., 1 tab., 83 ref. Supervisor (S. Videnšek), Reviewer (F. Kresal).
