Title:Vpliv stresa na absentizem in odličnost posameznika : magistrska naloga

Abstract:Raziskovalno vprašanje (RV): Zanima nas, ali v podjetjih telekomunikacijske panoge elementi stresa (prepoznavanje dejavnikov stresa na podlagi posledic stresa, obvladovanje in odkrivaje stresa na delovnem mestu), prisotnost stresa na delovnem mestu in aktivnosti za sprostitev od stresa vplivajo na absentizem in ali prisotnost stresa na delovnem mestu vpliva na odličnost posameznika. Namen: Namen naloge je identificirati vpliv stresa na absentizem in odličnost posameznika na primeru treh podjetij telekomunikacijske panoge. V teoretičnem delu je cilj spoznati stres, absentizem in odličnost posameznika, v empiričnem delu pa na primeru izbranih podjetij telekomunikacijske panoge ugotoviti dejanski obstoj vpliva stresa na absentizem in odličnost posameznika. Metoda: Teoretični del magistrske naloge smo preučili s pomočjo domače in tuje strokovne literature. Uporabili smo metodo kompilacije, ki zajema citiranje, povzemanje in navajanje. Empirični del naloge smo izvedli z zbiranjem podatkov s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika, pri čemer smo uporabili Likertove lestvice in pa kombinacijo vprašanj odprtega in zaprtega tipa. Zbrane podatke smo obdelali s statističnim računalniškim programom. Rezultati: Rezultati raziskave so dokazali vpliv oz. obstoj nekaterih elementov povezave med obvladovanjem stresa in absentizmom in obstoj povezave med načini sprostitve od stresa in absentizmom. Prav tako rezultati potrjujejo vpliv stresa na odličnost posameznika. Ugotovitve nam služijo kot temelj predlogov za podjetja, za posvečanje večje pozornosti odkrivanju stresa in njegovega vpliva na absentizem in odličnost posameznika. Organizacija: Prispevek raziskave je pomemben za vodilne kadre v obravnavanih podjetij in tudi za podjetja na splošno. Rezultati navajajo vzroke oz. povezave med stresom in absentizmom ter slabšo odličnostjo posameznika, kar omogoča udeleženim razmislek za nadaljnje ukrepe za zmanjšanje absentizma in ustvarjanje boljše odličnosti posameznika. Družba: Na podlagi rezultatov raziskave in podanih predlogov bodo, z aplikacijo predlogov v prakso, pridobila podjetja, posamezniki in tudi njihove družine ter širša družba. Večina zaposlenih se dnevno srečuje s stresom, kar vodi v absentizem ter vse slabšo odličnost posameznika. Dolgoročno se bo socialna odgovornost podjetij in posameznikov morala izboljšati, saj trenutno neobvladovanje področja stresa negativno vpliva tudi na celotno okolje, tako v smislu slabšanja kakovosti življenja kot tudi odličnosti vsakega posameznika posebej. Originalnost: Raziskava je bila izvedena v treh podjetjih telekomunikacijske panoge, sodelovalo je 95 anketirancev. Obstajajo številne raziskave opisanih tematik v Sloveniji, vendar ne na področju ozko usmerjene telekomunikacijske panoge. Raziskava ima velik pomen predvsem, ker zajema mlada, hitro razvijajoča se podjetja, ki predstavljajo gonilno silo bodoče gospodarske rasti, in je njihova uspešnost tudi preko obvladovanja stresa, absentizma in odličnosti posameznika pomembna za širšo blaginjo. Omejitve: Pridobljeni podatki raziskave temeljijo na subjektivnem mnenju anketiranih. Zaposleni so bili izbrani priložnostno in po subjektivni presoji. Stres na absentizem in odličnost posameznika vpliva tudi preko drugih dejavnikov, ki jih v raziskavo nismo vključili. Omejeni smo tudi z javnostjo podatkov oziroma zahtevano anonimnostjo. Zaradi specifičnosti in narave dela rezultatov raziskave ni mogoče posploševati na druge dejavnosti oziroma panoge. Prav tako je v raziskavi sodelovalo manj kot 50 % zaposlenih, zato rezultatov raziskave ne moremo povsem posploševati na ostala podjetja, ki sodijo v isto panogo. Raziskava ne vsebuje drugih vidikov uspešnosti poslovanja v podjetjih, kot so npr. ekonomski, pravni in tehnični dejavniki. Izbrana literatura temelji na subjektivnem izboru. Nadaljnja področja raziskovanja se kažejo tudi na področju preostalih panog, v različnih regijah po Sloveniji in tujini, v večjem številu oziroma širšem krogu dejavnikov stresa ter večjem vzorcu zaposlenih.

Abstract:Research Question (RQ): We are interested in whether the elements of stress (identifying stress factors on the basis of the effects of stress, management of stress at the workplace), the presence of stress at the workplace and the activities to reduce stress have an impact on absenteeism, and if the presence of stress at the workplace impacts the excellence of an individual within three companies in the telecommunications sector. Purpose: The purpose of the Masters thesis is to identify the impact of stress on absenteeism and on the excellence of an individual on the example of three companies in the telecommunications sector. In the theoretical part, we will define stress, absenteeism and the excellence of an individual; and in the empirical part, establish the actual existence of the impact of stress on absenteeism and on the excellence of an individual on the example of the selected companies in the telecommunications sector. Method: The theoretical part of the thesis was carried out and studied by means of national and foreign scientific literature. We used the method of compilation which includes citation, summarizing and referencing. The empirical part of the thesis was carried out by collecting data through a survey questionnaire using the Likert scales and a combination of open-ended and closed-ended questions. The collected data were processed by means of statistical analysis software. Results: The research results have confirmed the existence of a connection between some elements of the management of stress and absenteeism and the connection between methods of reducing stress and absenteeism. In addition, the results confirm the impact of stress on the excellence of an individual. The findings serve as a basis for proposals and advising companies on this matter, for devoting more attention to recognizing stress and its impact on absenteeism and on the excellence of an individual. Organization: The contribution of the research is important for the executives in companies concerned as well as for companies in general. The results indicate the causes or connections between stress, absenteeism and a lower excellence of an individual enabling the participants to consider new measurements for the reduction of absenteeism and improvement of the excellence of an individual. Society: The companies, individuals as well as their families, and the broader society will benefit from the implication of the research results and the proposals introduced. The majority of the employed face stress on a daily basis which leads to absenteeism and deteriorating excellence of an individual. In the long term, the social responsibility of companies and individuals will have to improve, since the current failure to control the area of stress has a negative impact on the whole environment as well both in term of declining quality of life as well as in the excellence of each individual. Originality: The research was carried out within three companies in the telecommunications sector and included 95 respondents. There have been several researches on the topics mentioned, though none in the narrowly oriented field of telecommunications sector. The research is of great importance as it concerns young, rapidly developing companies that represent the driving force of the future economic growth, and because their success, achieved also through the management of stress, absenteeism and the excellence of an individual, is important for a broader social welfare. Limitations: The acquired research data are based on the subjective opinion of the respondents. The employed have been chosen ad hoc and according to a subjective assessment. Stress impacts absenteeism and the excellence of an individual through factors not included in the research as well. Exposing public data or the requested anonymity represents another limitation. Due to the specificity and the nature of work, the research results cannot be generalized onto other activities or sectors. Furthermore, less than 50% of the employed were included in the research, thus, the results cannot be entirely generalized onto businesses belonging to the same sector. The research of the impact of stress does not include other aspects of a companys business success, such as economic, legal and technical factors. The selected literature is based on a subjective choice. Further fields of research include other sectors in different regions in Slovenia and abroad, a greater number or wider range of stress factors, and a broader sample of the employed.
