Abstract:Diplomska naloga obravnava krizo smisla slovenskih mladostnikov in z njo povezano zasvojenost z mobilnim telefonom.

Abstract:The diploma work deals with the crisis of the sense of Slovene adolescents and the associated addiction to the mobile phone. The theoretical part is based on a logotherapeutic model, the founder of which is the Austrian psychiatrist and psychotherapist Viktor Frankl. The main motivational drive of Frank's model is the will to meaning, which is defined by values. Because in today's society the meaning of traditional values disappears, more and more people are facing an existential crisis. We focused on the existential crisis of Slovene adolescents and linked it with addiction to the mobile phone, since the addiction of logotherapy is one of the three symptoms of the crisis of meaning. In the continuation of the theoretical work, we presented the addiction and placed special emphasis on its non-chemical forms, including the promotion with a mobile phone. In the empirical part of the thesis, we carried out a quantitative survey and verified the hypothesis that there is a connection between the crisis of meaning and addiction with a mobile phone. The research involved 457 Slovene adolescents, of whom we obtained results on the level of life meaning and addiction with a mobile phone. For the research we used a survey containing the PIL test and The Test of Mobile Phone Dependence (TMD), to which the participants accessed via the 1ka website. The results showed that experiencing lower levels of life sense correlates with a higher degree of dependence on the mobile phone, as women are generally more dependent on mobile phones than men.
