V nalogi predstavimo teoretične osnove in rezultate raziskave, v kolikšni meri imajo mladi v Sloveniji osmišljeno svoje življenje.

Abstract:Question about the meaning of his life is especially present with youth since this is the part of life when the most important life decisions are made. Under the weight of tough life questions and the additional burden of possible wrong decisions in life, one can fall into a feeling life has no meaning. This phenomenon Viktor E. Frankl calls existential vacuum. This is not a health condition but rather a symptom that something is wrong in one’s life. Existential vacuum can lead to development of noogenic neurosis. In the thesis, we present theoretical basis and explore to which degree youth in Slovenia has found a purpose in life. We have followed the example of many known researches regarding existential vacuum and have used Purpose in life or PIL-test while extending it with some specific questions. We found out that different problems with search for employment and different forms of social exclusion are in fact factors that increase probability of existential vacuum emerging with the young population between 20 and 30 years of age in Slovenia.
