Abstract:Creativity is usually associated with artists and scientists however, it is of great importance in many different fields. One of these areas is education which accompanies one for a lifetime. It begins very early in childhood when a child learns in his own way about the world around him. It continues with the entry into professional education offered by institutions such as elementary and secondary schools and faculties. One can upgrade gained knowledge with his experience at work and in personal life. Between knowledge and experience one should also find a place for creativity that lies in every individual. However, it requires a certain stimulus or motivation which can be both external and internal. Therefore, it is more and more realized that investing in creative and innovative capacity of youth represents a long-term investment for the future. Nowadays creativity is given the growing importance by educational institutions, and creative and talented persons are motivated in different ways. Creativity plays the important role in the person`s development and his education. Because of that reason I decided to explore and introduce different ways to promote creativity among students at three universities in Slovenia. Through these comparisons, I developed a model of proposals and policie for the School of Advanced Social Studies, which might be useful for the further development of the faculty.
