Abstract:V Sloveniji živi veliko število priseljencev iz nekdanje države Jugoslavije. Eden izmed glavnih razlogov za selitev je bil predvsem ekonomski, saj vsi »bežimo« tja, kjer so pogoji ugodni. Zato nas je zanimalo, kako so to priseljevanje sprejeli Slovenci in kakšen je bil njihov odnos do samih pripadnikov nekdanje Jugoslavije. V diplomski nalogi smo raziskovali odnos Slovencev do pripadnikov nekdanjih držav Jugoslavije. Odnos do tujcev predstavlja širše raziskovalno področje, medtem ko je tema seminarske naloge Odnos Slovencev do pripadnikov nekdanje Jugoslavije, torej odnos do Srbov, Hrvatov, Makedoncev in Bošnjakov.

Abstract:There is a large number of ex-Yugoslavian immigrants living in Slovenia. One of the main reasons for migration was the economic one; we all tend to “escape” to more favourable conditions. This is why we were interested in how these migrations are accepted by Slovenians and what is their attitude towards members of ex-Yugoslavia. We researched the attitude of Slovenians towards members of ex-Yugoslavian. The relationship with the foreigners is a large field of research, so the subject of this research paper is the attitude of Slovenians towards members of ex-Yugoslavia; the attitude towards Serbs, Croatians, Macedonians and Bosnians. The empirical part of the paper is divided into two parts: a qualitative and quantitative part. With the aid of the quantitative part we researched if any differences in the level of trust when it comes to ex-Yugoslavian immigrants exists; regarding the age and education of the interviewees. We have come to the conclusion that there are differences to be found. With the use of qualitative analysis (e.g. interviews) we gained a deeper introspective of five interviewees, members of ex-Yugoslavia that are currently residing in Goriška region. We were interested in the main factors that influence the attitude of Slovenians towards members of ex-Yugoslavia. We have discovered that the attitude is affected by the social status and also the ethnic affiliation (nationality) of an individual.
