Title:Integracija kognitivno-vedenjske terapije in relacijske družinske terapije : magistrska naloga

Abstract:V magistrski nalogi smo želeli predstaviti možnosti svetovanja oziroma psihoterapije z integracijo kognitivno-vedenjske terapije in relacijske družinske terapije in ugotoviti, ali bi tak način dela s klienti zmanjšal zaznane pomanjkljivosti ene in druge terapije in povečal klientove možnosti za uspešnost terapije. V ta namen smo v teoretičnem delu predstavili kognitivno-vedenjsko terapijo, njeno zgodovino, bistvene elemente, potek same terapije in tehnike, ki jih kognitivno-vedenjski terapevti uporabljajo. Predstavili smo tudi relacijsko družinsko terapijo, njene komponente, temeljne pojme in terapevtske intervencije v relacijski družinski terapiji ter vlogo in način dela relacijskega družinskega terapevta. Iz teoretskega dela smo skušali izluščiti razlike med obema vrstama terapije. Opisali smo vzroke za integracijo psihoterapij, možne načine integracije in skupne terapevtske dejavnike, to je tiste dejavnike, ki so se izkazali za najučinkovitejše v različnih terapijah. Nato smo opravili raziskavo med terapevti ene in druge modalitete in s pomočjo kodiranja naredili kvalitativno analizo pridobljenih podatkov. Na koncu smo na podlagi teoretičnega in empiričnega dela skušali podati nekaj napotkov za integracijo kognitivno-vedenjske in relacijske terapije. Na začetno vprašanje o koristnosti integracije tehnik kognitivno-vedenjske terapije in družinske relacijske terapije, lahko na podlagi teoretičnega in empiričnega dela odgovorimo pritrdilno. Menimo, da se načela ene in druge terapije ne izključujejo, vsaka pozornost usmerja na določen vidik posameznikovega življenja. Terapevti, ki so bili vključeni v raziskavo, opažajo nekaj pomanjkljivosti enega oziroma drugega pristopa. Večina v svoje delo vključuje tehnike drugih pristopov, tudi dveh obravnavanih vrst terapij, z namenom večje kvalitete svetovanja.

Abstract:In the master's thesis we wanted to present the possibilities of counseling or psychotherapy by integrating cognitive-behavioral therapy and relational family therapy and determine whether such a way of working with clients would reduce perceived weaknesses of both therapies and increase the client's chances for a succesful therapy. For this purpose, in the theoretical part we presented cognitive-behavioral therapy, its history, essential elements, the course of the therapy itself and the techniques used by cognitive-behavioral therapists. We also presented relational family therapy, its components, basic concepts and therapeutic interventions in relational family therapy, and the role of relational family therapist. From the theoretical part we tried to extract the differences between the two types of therapy. We described the reasons for the integration of psychotherapies, possible ways of integration, and common therapeutic factors, which are those that have been shown to be most effective in different therapies. We then conducted a survey among therapists of one and the other modality and, with the help of coding, performed a qualitative analysis of the obtained data. Finally, based on theoretical and empirical work, we tried to give some guidelines for the integration of cognitive-behavioral and relational therapy. The initial question about the usefulness of integrating the techniques of cognitive-behavioral therapy and family relational therapy can be answered in the affirmative, on the basis of theoretical and empirical work. We believe that the principles of both therapies are not mutually exclusive; attention of each therapy is focused on a particular aspect of an individual’s life. The therapists involved in the study observe some shortcomings of one or the other approach. Most of them include in their work techniques of other approaches, including the two types of therapies considered, in order to improve the quality of counseling.
