Keywords:: faktoring, udeleženci faktoringa, forfetiranje, enostavni in popolni faktoring, regresna pravica, odkriti in tihi faktoring, mednarodni faktoring, faktorinško združenje, pogodba

Abstract:Factoring is still a less used form of financing for small and medium-sized enterprises, although the supply of this service has a relatively long tradition. Factoring is mainly handled by commercial banks. There are several other providers in the market that perform factoring as their main or additional activity. In the first part, we present factoring according to the purpose and forms of delivery. We continue by check the state of factoring in Slovenia and present global development trends with an emphasis on the EU. In the last part, we analyze a typical factoring contract, which defines the obligations and risks of a business relationship in factoring, in which smaller companies, often find themselves in a subordinate position.
