Metode: Znanstveno in strokovno literaturo smo iskali s pomočjo podatkovnih zbirk Google Scholar, DiKUL, PubMed in PEDro.

Title:New approaches in the rehabilitation of persons after ischemic stroke
Abstract:Introduction and purpose: More than half of the people who survive the ischemic stroke (IS) are not independent in daily activities. The purpose of this paper is to examine new approaches in the rehabilitation of persons after IS and to present their importance in the rehabilitation process. Methods: Scientific and academic literature was searched using the Google Scholar, DiKUL, PubMed and PEDro databases. Results: The results of our research show that the use of robotics and methods of non-invasive brain stimulation affects the improvement of motor functions in persons after IS and supports greater inclusion of these approaches in the rehabilitation process. Usefulness: New approaches are very effective supplement to the classic physiotherapeutic treatment of persons after IS. This could be more used in rehabilitation for improved motor recovery of people after IS. Limitations: The limitation of our research was represented by scientific sources that did not meet the requirements of the inclusion criteria.
Keywords:Transcranial magnetic stimulation, transcranial direct current stimulation, transcranial alternating current stimulation, robotic rehabilitation, neurorehabilitation, ischemic stroke
