Abstract:Glede na rastočo potrebo po večjih in zmogljivejših omrežij so podjetja primorana poiskati rešitve zunaj okvira tradicionalnega upravljanja omrežij. Ravno zaradi te potrebe so nastala t. i. programsko definirana omrežja (PDO). PDO omogočajo »skalabilnost« in preprostejši pristop k reševanju učinkovitega upravljanja omrežij. Orkestratorji omrežnih storitev temeljijo prav na teh rešitvah in omogočajo dodatne funkcionalnosti, ki so namenjene predvsem ponudnikom internetnih storitev. V diplomski nalogi smo primerjali različne odprtokodne in zaprtokodne rešitve orkestracije omrežnih storitev. Prav tako smo na podlagi študije primera razvili omrežno storitev ACL po meri, s pomočjo orodja Cisco NSO za namišljeno podjetje, in jo temu primerno tudi testirali.

Abstract:Given the growing need for larger and more powerful networks, companies are forced to find managment solutions outside of traditional network management. It is precisely because of these needs that the so called Software Defined Network (SDN). SDN allow "scalability" and a simpler approach tackling effective network management. Network service orchestrators are based on these solutions and provide additional functionalities intended primarily for Internet service providers. In the diploma thesis, we compared different open source and closed source solutions for orchestration of network services. We also developed a custom ACL network service based on a case study using the Cisco NSO tool for an imaginary company and tested it appropriately.
