Abstract:Pravice žensk in otrok so se skozi čas korenito spremenile.

Abstract:Throughout history, women and children's rights have changed drastically. Considering the last few decades, we can determine how much they have changed, as notions, such as the right to vote, work, and education, were normally related to men and inaccessible to women. Sometimes, it feels like women and children's rights are well-established and respected, thus not requiring more attention, but I believe that this field could still be improved, as across the globe many women and girls still face discrimination on the basis of sex and gender. I selected this topic because I believe that, even though their status in the society has improved, women and children are still at risk more frequently than men. Considerable differences between men and women are still perceived in everyday life. They may be reflected in one's personal life, in form of physical, sexual, mental, or verbal violence, or in one's professional life, in form of appointing men to management positions and pay inequality. Since women and children are more vulnerable in these situations, I wanted to examine how they are protected by law and what rights they can exercise.
