Abstract:Magistrska naloga predstavlja položaj in financiranje mednarodnih osnovnih šol v Sloveniji na študiju primera Francoske šole v Ljubljani.

Abstract:The master's thesis presents the situation of international primary schools in Slovenia, their position and financing with the presented study case of the French School in Ljubljana. We approached the issue with a broad insight into private primary education, which derives from the nature of the subject studied. We presented statistical and financial data of private primary education in Slovenia, with special emphasis on international primary schools. The data showed and highlighted the specifics and problems of international private primary schools, their unique position due to non-financing by the State. We presented the current efforts and measures of various actors to achieve more equal position of (international) private primary schools with other (private) primary schools in Slovenia, showed the influence of civil society of the private primary school rights and give solutions for further development of international private primary schools. In the qualitative research, we used qualitative research methods with semi-structured interviews and prepared the results. We comprehensively answered research questions, what is the situation and what is the funding of private international private primary schools compared to the situation and funding of other private primary schools, what efforts and measures have been taken to achieve a more equal position of international private primary schools compared to other private primary schools in Slovenia and what are the obstacles and opportunities for further development of international private primary schools in Slovenia.
