Abstract:Social exclusion is a process that people with disabilities also face. In the case of social exclusion, there is inequality and a state of repeated deprivation in the social, economic, political and cultural fields. It is inadequate and unequal participation of individuals and groups of the population in access to health care, education, employment, social services and social networks. In my dissertation, I used a questionnaire to check the presence of social exclusion in people with disabilities compared to the local population in the coastal region. The survey included 150 people aged 20 to 60, of which 67 people with disabilities and 83 people from the local population in the coastal region. The survey questionnaire comprised 27 questions, which were divided into 7 categories: employment security, health, housing, security, social environment, mobility and financial exclusion. The results of the survey confirmed my hypothesis that people with disabilities have lower job security than the local population in the coastal region and the hypothesis that people with disabilities have more health problems compared to the local population in the coastal region. With the results of the survey, I refuted the hypothesis that people with disabilities are more financially excluded than the local population in the coastal region and the hypothesis that people with disabilities are less involved in the social environment than the local population in the coastal region.
