Abstract:Uvod in namen: Namen diplomske naloge je pregledati strokovno in znanstveno literaturo s področja fizioterapevtske rehabilitacije disfunkcije mehurja, črevesja in spolne disfunkcije s pomočjo farmakološkega zdravljenja pri pacientih z multiplo sklerozo in o njenem vplivu na kakovost življenja pacientov z MS. Načine rehabilitacije omenjenih funkcij in njihov vpliv na kakovost življenja posameznika z MS smo proučili s pomočjo strokovne in znanstvene literature. Metode: Pregled strokovne in znanstvene literature iz podatkovnih baz PubMed, COBISS in SpringerLink. Ključne besede pri iskanju literature so bile naslednje: multipla skleroza (multiple sclerosis), rehabilitacija (rehabilitation), motnje (dysfunction), mehur (bladder), črevesje (bowel) in spolnost (sex).

Title:Physiotherapeutic ehabilitation of sacral functions in multiple sclerosis
Abstract:Introduction and purpose: The purpose of the thesis is to review the professional and scientific literature in the field of physiotherapeutic rehabilitation of bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction with the help of drug therapy in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) and its impact on the quality of life of individuals with MS. Methods of rehabilitation on the quality of life of individuals with MS were studied with the help of professional and scientific literature. Methods: Review of scientific literature from PubMed, COBISS and SpringerLink databases. The key words in the literature search were multiple sclerosis (multipla skleroza), rehabilitation (rehabilitacija), dysfunction (disfunkcija), bladder (mehur), bowel (črevesje) in sex (spolnost). Inclusion and exclusion criteria were taken into account when selecting the literature. Results: The results show that pelvic floor muscle exercises, electrostimulation and pharmacological treatment can improve the symptoms of bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction in MS. In addition, they have a strong impact on various areas in life of people with MS. Usability: The presentation of appropriate therapies fort he treatment of bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction and their impact on the life of individuals with MS and presentation of QoL and methods to improve it in MS patients with bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction. Limitations: The small number of studies in the field of rehabilitation of bowel dysfunction, the unavailability of some articles, the different sample sizes and differences between the individuals involved in the studies.
Keywords:multiple sclerosis (MS), rehabilitation, bladder dysfunction, bowel dysfunction and sexual dysfunction
