Abstract:Dandanes je zelo veliko starejše populacije.

Abstract:Today, there is a very large elderly population. The vast majority cannot decide whether to go to a nursing home or stay in home care. There is also a problem that will continue to be more common in the future, ie. that some homes are unfortunately overcrowded, but at the same time it is too much of a cost compared to some average low pensions for our environment. A home for the elderly means something completely new for the elderly, presents them with new challenges and adaptation to a new living environment. However, there are other options in which an elderly person can reside and enjoy his or her late years. These are e.g. remote security, home help, home care, day care, serviced apartments, temporary home receptions, and home care, which are moved in more detail below. I personally believe that every elderly person has the right to remain in home care as long as he or she can take care of himself or herself. he can be cared for by relatives, family, friends, and the like. There are also associations that deal with the elderly in the field of culture, art, sports, environmental protection, etc. In my dissertation, I will explore whether seniors want to stay in home care or want to go to a nursing home. I will obtain information through surveys, which I will conduct in a home for the elderly in Medvode and the elderly who live in home care in Kamnik. I have found that every elderly person wants to stay in home care for as long as possible because they feel safer there, everything is already known, but when they go to a home for the elderly, they have to adapt to everything anew. Due to the current situation with the Corona virus, the matter was a little more difficult to implement due to the measures we had in the country.
