Language: Slovenian Work type: Master's thesis/paper Tipology: 2.09 - Master's Thesis Organization: FUDS - School of advanced social studies Abstract: V magistrski nalogi raziskujemo misli, čustva in vedenje svojcev oskrbovalcev oseb z demenco. Za lažje razumevanje bolezni in obolelega se bralec v teoretičnem delu najprej seznani z nekaterimi ugotovitvami raziskovanja bolezni in bolnika. Tako bralec lahko spozna, kaj sploh demenca je, katere vrste demence poznamo, kaj prinaša v svet obolelega in njegovo okolico, kako se jo je raziskovalo in na njo gledalo skozi zgodovino, kako jo doživljajo oboleli in kako oskrbovalci. V empiričnem delu opravimo kvalitativno raziskavo s pomočjo intervjujev, ki smo jih opravili z dvanajstimi svojci oskrbovalci. Na ta način spoznamo miselni, čustveni svet in njihovo vedenje pri delu s svojci oskrbovanci obolelimi z demenco, ter pomoč, ki bi jo potrebovali v obdobju pred, ob in po postavitvi diagnoze pri osebi z demenco. V raziskavo so vključeni le oskrbovalci, ki so sorodniki, svojci oskrbovancem. Raziskava je pokazala, da se skozi obdobja pri oskrbovalcih misli, čustva in vedenje spreminjajo. Ključen razlog za to je spoznanje, da je svojec zbolel. Ob tem raziskava pokaže tudi kako bi lahko družba pomagala oskrbovalcem v času bolezni, ki je prizadela njih svojce. Title:	Thoughts, emotions and behavior of family suppliers of people with dementia
Abstract:	In the master's thesis, we investigate the thoughts, emotions and behavior of relatives of caregivers of people with dementia. In order to better understand the disease and the patient, the reader is first, in the theoretical part, introduced to some of the research findings of the disease and the patient. This way, the reader can learn what dementia is, what types of dementia we know, what it brings to the world of the sufferer and his surroundings, how it has been researched and viewed throughout history, and how sufferers and caregivers experience it. In the empirical part, we carry out qualitative research with the help of interviews conducted with twelve family caregivers. This way, we get to know the mental and emotional world and their behavior when working with family members suffering from dementia, as well as the help they would need in the period before, during and after the diagnosis of a person with dementia. Only carers who are relatives of the sufferers are included in the research. The research showed that the thoughts, emotions and behavior of caregivers change over time. The key reason for this is the realization that a relative has fallen ill. At the same time, the research shows how society could help caregivers during an illness that affected their relatives.
