Abstract:V diplomski nalogi smo predstavili različne duhovne prakse, njihovo zgodovino nastanka in njihove povezave z notranjim dialogom, zavestjo in kako lahko te vplivajo na pomembne človekove odločitve. Opisali smo konstrukt jaza in psihološke triade in to povezali z nastankom notranjega dialoga.

Title:How different spiritual practices affect one’s internal dialogue and important life decisions : diploma thesis
Abstract:In the diploma thesis we presented various spiritual practices, their history of origin and their connections with internal dialogue, consciousness and how these factors can affect on important human decisions. We have described the construct of the self and the psychological triad so that we can explain how are they related to the internal dialogue. We touched one of the main problems of 21st century which is namely the lack of meaning and direction in a individual's life and how meditation can help set goals, focus on priorities and improve efficiency. We included some selected expert articles, that refer to the findings of scientific researchers on how meditation itself is supposed to affect the connections in the brain and last but not least, it also brings many healing effects. With introducing five hypotheses which helped us design a qualitative questionnaire, we (1) gained random respondents regardless of gender, education, age and status via social networks and (2) invited some publicly available and recognized associations via a classic phone call, whose primary mission is organizing certain spiritual practices. With their participation they contributed to more credible research. The collected data showed us that participating meditators and non-meditators do not statistically significantly differ from each other in thinking about important life issues, so meditation cannot be the key factor that affects the level of reflexivity, the level of satisfaction, and the personal growth of an individual. Through the analysis of answers and a combination of factors, we came to different interpretations and concluded that meditation has a positive effect on an individual's internal dialogue and, consequently, on his decisions, differences in thinking and behavior, mostly in case when someone is engaged in it for many years and also regularly on a daily basis. The type of spiritual practice that an individual decides to introduce into his personal life also largely depends on his gender.
