Abstract:Uvod in namen: Fizioterapevtska obravnava je v obdobju pred in po operativnem zdravljenju bolnika vključena že stoletja. Title:The role of a physiotherapist in rehabilitation after gynecological surgery
Abstract:: Physiotherapy has been involved in the pre- and post-operative treatment of patients for centuries. It also plays an important role in gynaecology, both before and after gynaecological operations. By reviewing the existing literature, we aimed to determine the type and effectiveness of physiotherapy after gynaecological surgery and to describe the possible complications of inadequate physiotherapy. Methods: Based on keyword search strings, we conducted a literature review in electronic databases : PubMed, Science Direkt, Google Scholar, PEDro and COBISS. Results: The authors look at the outcomes of physiotherapy treatment before and after gynaecological surgery and the complications that may arise. Based on a review of the literature, physiotherapy treatment after surgery is effective, but even more so if it is started before surgery. Usefulness: This assignment highlights the importance of physiotherapy treatment in rehabilitation after gynaecological surgery and the importance of starting treatment before the surgery itself to avoid complications. Limitations: The age of the research, the lack of access to the full content of the articles and research, and paid articles were limiting factors in writing the thesis. Key words: gynaecological surgery, rehabilitation, risk factors, pre-operative physiotherapy, physiotherapy after gynaecological surgery, physiotherapy, course of treatment. Type of work: Graduation Thesis; 2022, Physiotherapy, 43 (33) p., 2 tab., 6 fig., 34 ref., Supervisor (Š. Smrkolj), Reviewer (F. Kresal)
Keywords:gynaecological surgery, rehabilitation, risk factors, pre-operative physiotherapy, physiotherapy after gynaecological surgery, physiotherapy, course of treatment.
