Title:Neurophysiotherapy of premature infants
Abstract:The purpose of the diploma thesis was to determine the impact of neuro physiotherapy on premature children through a review of the existing literature. We wanted to obtain new data and knowledge that would further contribute to a better effect on the motor development of premature babies. We observed the differences in their movements and compared them with the development of children with full gestational age. We wanted to determine the impact of early neurophysiotherapy treatment. We found that neurophysiotherapeutic treatment contributes to the development of fine and gross motor skills in premature children. Studies have also confirmed that babies born at full gestation are more muscularly supported and reach developmental movement milestones faster and more correctly. We found the biggest difference between very premature children and children who were born at full gestational age.
Keywords:Physiotherapy treatment, premature baby, neurophysiotherapy, motor development of the child.
