Title:The connection between the organizational climate and the stress of employees in the Social Welfare Institute
Abstract:Recently, there has been an increase in mental health issues attributed to workplace stress. This thesis investigated the link between organizational climate and employee stress in a selected social welfare institution. We found that organizational climate and perceived employee stress exhibit a negative correlation. The perceived stress is significantly influenced by organizational climate elements such as leadership and internal relationships, while career development was not statistically significant. These results provide insights into the significance of organizational climate for the well-being of employees in the social welfare institution. The study was conducted using quantitative methodology, allowing the collection of multiple numeric data simultaneously and subsequent analysis in the PSPP software. The sample was opportunistic and included 203 employees. We identified differences in the average rating of organizational climate among different age groups and differences in the average perception of stress between genders. However, we could not prove differences in stress perception among different work domains. Our research contributes to the understanding of the relationship between organizational climate and perceived stress, serving as a foundation for designing measures to enhance employee well-being in the social welfare institution. Our findings are also important for comprehending the dynamics between organizational climate and perceived stress, potentially leading to improved working conditions and, consequently, greater institutional success.
