Abstract:Telesno gibanje je ena izmed osnovnih življenjskih funkcij vsakega posameznika in zaradi odsotnosti ali pomanjkanja le-teh človek težje izvaja vsakodnevne aktivnosti, potrebne za življenje. Bolezni kopičenja železa v možganih so skupina nevrodegenerativnih bolezni, pri katerih se železo kopiči v bazalnih ganglijih in drugih delih možganov, kar povzroča motnje delovanja osrednega živčnega sistema. Pričujoča diplomska naloga temelji na pregledu obstoječe literature. Uporabili smo sekundarno raziskavo že obstoječih virov (metoda deskripcije, metoda kompilacije: povzemanje stališč, spoznanj in sklepov različnih avtorjev, metoda komparacije: primerjava fizioterapevtskih obravnav različnih študij ter metoda klasifikacije s podajanjem definicij).

Title:Treatment of a child with pantothenate kinase - associated neurodegeneration with brain iron accumulation
Abstract:Movement abilities are one of the most important life functions of every person and the absence of these lead to difficulties in completing daily activities. The brain iron accumulation disorders are a group of neurodegenerative disorders where iron is being accumulated in basal ganglia and other parts of the brain, which leads to the disturbance of functioning of central nervous system. The diploma thesis consists of a literature review and secondary research of existing literature, a method of description, compilation, comparation and classification. We included 7 results of literature review for the first hypothesis (Physiotherapy treatment of patients with pantothenate kinase- associated neurodegeneration leads to a better execution of daily activities because of their independence) and 5 results of literature review for the second hypothesis (The use of physiotherapy equipment leads to a better functioning of people with pantothenate kinase-associated neurodegeneration). Physiotherapy treatment of patients with pantothenate kinase-associated neurodegeneration leads to a better execution of daily activities because of their independence and the use of physiotherapy equipment leads to a better functioning of people with pantothenate kinase-associated neurodegeneration. The diploma thesis shows that physiotherapy treatment of children with a genetic neurodegenerative disorder with brain iron accumulation is important.
