Uporabili smo anketni vprašalnik, ki smo ga povzeli po The Chicago Food Allergy Research Survey for the General Public (CFARS-GP) in The Chicago Food Allergy Research Surveys for Parents of Children with Food Allergy (CFARS-PRNT).

Abstract:Introduction: Public awareness of food allergies is important. Food allergies have become more common in recent years and affect the health and quality of life of children and their families. They can appear in early childhood and cause serious health problems, so awareness is key to preventing and managing food allergies. Recognizing the symptoms and causes of allergies is essential for protecting children. Methods: Data for the thesis were obtained using a quantitative method. We used a survey questionnaire based on The Chicago Food Allergy Research Survey for the General Public (CFARS-GP) and The Chicago Food Allergy Research Surveys for Parents of Children with Food Allergy (CFARS-PRNT). Results: The survey was completed by 150 residents of Pomurje. Based on the results of the survey, we found that more than half of the respondents (66 %) know at least one person who has a food allergy. According to respondents, milk (85 %), eggs (54 %) and peanuts (75 %) are among the three most common food allergens in children. 84% of respondents agreed that food allergies are on the rise in Slovenia. Discussion: The results of the thesis showed that people need to be more aware of food allergies. Education of the population and access to information are key factors that can contribute to greater awareness and understanding of this issue.
